Six things people configuring Venon for the first time ask about most often.
Do I have to know how to program to configure Venon?+
No. The whole configuration happens through the web panel or the /panel command on Discord — you click switches and pick channels from a list. You do not edit files or write code.
Where do I start after adding the bot to a server?+
First move the Venon Security role above the roles it is meant to manage. Then enable the moderation logs so you can see what the bot does, and after that verification and raid protection.
Why can the bot not grant a role or ban a member?+
The most common cause is the role hierarchy — the bot only acts on roles below its own. Check as well that it has the right permission, Manage Roles or Ban Members for instance.
Where do I find a channel or role ID?+
Turn Developer Mode on in Discord's settings (Advanced), right-click the channel or role and choose “Copy ID”. You paste it into the module's configuration field.
Do changes in the panel apply immediately?+
Yes. The configuration is saved at once and the bot applies it without a restart — there is nothing to restart and no synchronisation to wait for.
What should I do when a command does not appear after typing “/”?+
Discord needs up to an hour to distribute new global commands. Check as well that you hold the permission the command requires — Discord hides commands you cannot use.
